How to Ask Tarot a Question for Clearer Guidance
A good question is half a good reading: ask 'how will this unfold' more than an absolute 'will it'.
Turn closed yes-or-no questions into open ones
If you only ask 'Will they come back to me?', the answer shrinks to a black-and-white yes or no, which limits how much the cards can show. Try instead: 'How is the connection between us likely to unfold, and what do I need to see first?' Now the cards can show both people's states, the hidden obstacles, and what you can do.
One reading, one question
If a single reading tries to cover whether to stay in a relationship and whether to change jobs, the cards' focus becomes scattered and vague. If several things are on your mind, choose the one troubling you most right now and save the rest for another reading.
Bring the focus back to yourself
Rather than asking over and over 'what are they really thinking', add 'how can I take care of myself in this relationship, and what can I adjust?' It tends to bring more grounded strength. We can't control other people's thoughts, but we can always adjust our own state and actions.
Give each reading time to settle
When the cards say something you didn't hope for, don't rush to reshuffle. Set the reading aside, wait until your feelings have calmed or something in your situation has changed, and then come back to hear what the cards say next.
